CFBL pupils took part in a lot of different projects in their art class!
Year 7 – Abstract art
Students learnt about Abstract art and Cubism. We studied the work of Pablo Picasso and Georges Braque. All students produced their ‘Weeping Woman’ in black and white.
Year 8 – botanical art
We studied two Japanese artists’ work - Takashi Murakami and Makoto Azuma. All students produce their botanical drawing as part of the observation drawing. Please see the attachment.
Year 9 metamorphosis drawing
We recapped the persistence of memory and looked at other masterpieces from Dali.
All students have produced a metamorphosis drawing in their sketchbook. Please see the attachment.
Year 10 Architecture
Architecture introduction – we studied the symbolic role of the gargoyles of
Notre-Dame de Paris and the architecture. Look at the differences between gargoyles and chimeras. All students learn to use a grid to draw accurately. Please see the attachment.
