Year 5 Enriching Outings: Building Connections and Exploring History

Year 5 students at CFBL have an exciting lineup of activities this November and December, blending community engagement with cultural exploration.

On Monday, 18th November, CM1A students visited the Kentish Town retirement home, bringing smiles and warmth to its residents. CM1B followed with their own visit on Friday, 22nd November. These outings are part of our commitment to fostering intergenerational connections and nurturing empathy in our students.

Later, both classes took a step back in time with a visit to the Charles Dickens Museum. CM1A explored the Victorian novelist’s home on Wednesday, 27th November, while CM1B will embark on their visit on Thursday, 5th December. This immersive experience ties in beautifully with their literature and history curriculum, allowing them to learn more about the life and works of one of Britain’s most celebrated authors.
