A look back at last year
Last year, 5,000 students from 196 classes in 26 countries took part in this literary adventure. The European final, held on April 29, 2024, brought together 18 finalists, including Valentine, a student from the Lycée français René Goscinny in Warsaw, who was chosen to represent Europe at the Comédie-Française Grand Final.
In the UK, the first national final took place on March 13, 2024 at the Institut Français in London. This great moment crowned Camille and Julius, enabling these students to take part in the European final.
This year at CFBL
Collège Français Bilingue de Londres continues the adventure by organizing a new edition. CM1 and CM2 students selected representatives for their houses:
Friday, January 10, 2025: The Chlorofox and Faeroceler houses elected one girl and one boy each.
Friday January 17, 2025: The Bellynxhorse and Lamperfly houses made their choice.
These representatives had the honor of taking part in the CFBL school final on Wednesday February 22, 2025, at the end of which Colomba and Maxime were chosen to represent the CFBL at the Institut Français in the UK on February 12.
In addition to celebrating reading aloud, this initiative strengthens ties between students from French schools around the world, while cultivating their taste for literature and oral expression.
See you on May 14, 2025 for the World Final, where CFBL talent could shine on an international scale!
