On Thursday 25th of November and Thursday 2nd of December, 12 volunteers from Year 7 and Year 8 took part in a peer mediation workshop held by the NVC Resolutions association, to facilitate conflict resolution between pupils.
Pupils trained in peer mediation will intervene in pairs to help pupils facing a conflict. During their mediation interventions, they will assist their classmates in order to help them resolve their problem. These new mediators will help pupils to find a solution to their conflict via active listening, rewording, and non violent communication.
This educational project set up by vie scolaire is part of the school’s desire to allow our students to get involved and help each other.
“The project is beneficial for our pupils at all levels,” explains Ms Le Petit. “Our pupils are conscious of the fact that dialogue and a calm manner are key to defusing complex situations. This allows them to be good citizens of tomorrow.”
Pupils at CFBL | Collège Français Bilingue de Londres discover the joys of learning in a warm and welcoming environment, in a spirit of respect and trust based on listening and permanent dialogue with teaching and educational teams.
Encouraged to exchange, create and take initiatives in a multicultural environment, our pupils acquire, as well as academic knowledge, human and relational qualities which will guide them during their entire schooling and further.
