Model United Nations (MUN) Conference in January 2025

On January 30th and 31st, 2025, 20 students from CFBL will have the opportunity to participate in a Model United Nations (MUN) conference hosted by the Lycée International Winston Churchill.

The MUN conference is an excellent opportunity for students to dive into the world of diplomacy, international relations, and global issues.

What is a MUN conference?

Model United Nations (MUN) is a simulation of the United Nations that allows participants to step into the role of diplomats representing a country. Through this simulation, students are confronted with current issues, diplomatic challenges, and debates on global problems.

Each student researches a country they will represent at the conference. Participants then take on the role of a diplomat, examine international issues, debate, consult with other delegates, and, together, propose solutions to global challenges. It is both a fun and educational experience, ideal for enhancing their understanding of international relations and global cooperation.

What topics are debated?

Last year, the debated topic was "Access to Information in an Increasingly Digitalized World". This theme allowed students to discuss challenges related to technology, information freedom, and personal data protection in an ever-evolving digital world.

While we eagerly await the 2025 MUN topic, it is certain that students will find themselves at the heart of the major issues shaping the world today, while developing essential skills such as public speaking, negotiation, and conflict resolution.

An experience not to be missed!

The MUN conference is a rewarding experience for all students who wish to explore the challenges of diplomacy and international relations. It provides an opportunity to engage in constructive debates and prepare to become responsible global citizens, aware of the current global issues.
