Nick Carter, the explorer and adventurer, is coming into CFBL | Collège Français Bilingue de Londres on Thursday the 20th January to talk about his amazing adventures, like climbing mount Everest, living with remote tribes, and swimming the English Channel (even though he wasn’t very good at swimming).
Nick uses his amazing adventures to teach children decision making in life and the courage it takes; and how kindness, bravery and resilience can be used to make every day more meaningful.
Nick has just published his first children’s book (signed copies on the day - children will have to come with £10 if they want to get the book) that tells the stories behind his biggest adventures to date (the Amazon, exploring deep caves, finding kindness, etc) and explains how to develop important adventure values yourself. The book also nudges children to go out and experience these values through age-appropriate missions.
Perhaps even more excitingly, this year Nick has decided to gather together some of his most inspirational adventurer friends and organise a weekend of values-based activities near London, to teach practical kindness, bravery and resilience first-hand. Look out for a flyer on the day.
We think the children will be fascinated and inspired by what Nick has to say and are excited to welcome him into school Thursday 20th January.
CFBL's students are nurtured in a welcoming environment where they can discover the joys of learning, supported by attentive teaching staff whose approach is based on mutual trust and respect.
Our students are encouraged to interact, be creative and take initiatives in our multicultural environment, in which they can acquire academic knowledge and also develop the human, relational qualities which will guide them through their years at school and beyond.
