To celebrate Poetry Week, our school was transformed into a true literary laboratory, where words blossomed with imagination and emotion.
Haikus and the Poetry Tree
The 6th-grade classes explored the art of writing haikus, those short poems of Japanese origin, on the themes of spring, renewal, and hope.
Each student proudly hung their creation on a poetry tree, beautifully displayed in the cafeteria hall.
A true garden of words, where verses replaced leaves!
Poetic Daydreams with Class 5C
The students of 5C took part in a poetic imagination exercise by writing a text inspired by a landscape — real or imagined — seen through an empty window.
It was an invitation to daydreaming and contemplation, which revealed the creativity and sensitivity of our young authors.
Poetry Everywhere
Primary school students also joined in this literary celebration. Armed with poems in French and English, they visited secondary classrooms and administrative offices to share their readings aloud.
Their voices filled the hallways and offices, turning everyday spaces into true poetic stages.
Poetry and Creative Recycling
The CM2 students embraced a unique challenge: creating poems from pages of books. Through cutting, pasting, and inspiration, they gave words a second life and created one-of-a-kind poetic pieces.
A huge congratulations to all our young poets for their dedication, creativity, and love of language.
Poetry has once again shown itself to be a magical playground for the soul and the imagination.
“Poetry is the music everyone carries inside.”
