As part of their science lessons, 6ème / Year 11 students had the opportunity to apply their knowledge by designing and launching rockets. This exciting project not only stimulated their scientific curiosity but also allowed them to share their enthusiasm with the younger students at CFBL.
The rockets, created in class, were the result of collective work where the students studied the principles of propulsion, aerodynamics, and mechanics. After several weeks of preparation, they were able to test their creations in a real-life experiment. But that’s not all! These launches took place in front of a very special audience: the Nursery Class students.
The younger children were eager and amazed to see the rockets take off into the sky. The 6th grade students explained how their rockets worked, sharing their design process and the scientific principles that allow these small machines to fly. It was a unique opportunity for the 6th graders to strengthen their understanding of scientific concepts while developing their communication skills.
The moment was both fun and educational, offering the Nursery Class students a first glimpse into science and technology, while perhaps inspiring the future scientists and engineers of CFBL. This kind of activity also fosters cooperation between classes and strengthens the bond between different levels of the school.
The 6th grade students showed their excitement and pride in sharing their work with the younger children, and the Nursery Class students couldn’t hide their amazement at the rockets in flight. A wonderful experience of sharing and learning for all!
