We are thrilled to announce CFBL’s inaugural fundraising art fair, "CFBL Salon: Art Meets Charity," set to take place on Tuesday 18 June between 5 and 7pm (entry via the Willes Road gate). This unique event is a celebration of our students' creativity and their commitment to giving back to the community. With over 400 artworks on display by students of all ages, this art fair promises to be a highlight of our school year.
For the past few months, our talented students have been hard at work, channeling their artistic abilities to create a stunning array of artworks. Each piece is not only a testament to their artistic skills but also a reflection of their compassion, as they have selected various charities to support through their art. This event offers a wonderful opportunity for our community to come together, appreciate the creative talents of our students, and contribute to meaningful causes.
The CFBL Salon will be set up in the main courtyard, transforming it into a stylish open-air gallery. Should the weather not cooperate, the event will be held indoors, ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable experience for all. The exhibit will have the feel of a private gallery opening, with our students and parents dressing to impress, adding a touch of elegance to the evening.
As you walk through the exhibit, you will find each artwork displayed with a label that includes a QR code. This QR code is linked to the charity chosen by the student artist. Parents and guests who are moved by a particular piece can support the associated charity by making a donation directly through the QR code. This innovative approach allows us to seamlessly blend art appreciation with philanthropy, making it easy for everyone to contribute to worthy causes.
In addition to the beautiful artwork, the parents' association (APC) will be on hand to sell drinks, adding to the convivial atmosphere of the evening. This event is not just about raising funds; it's about fostering a sense of community, encouraging our students to express themselves creatively, and supporting the causes they care about.
