Press Week

From 17 to 29 March, CFBL will be highlighting the importance of exploring the media and information during Press and Media Week at school. A dynamic series of discussions and workshops will lead students through the complexities of the media landscape and help them deepen their understanding of information.

Monday 17 March and Thursday 20 March

Year 5 and 6 began the week with journalist Caroline Taix, exploring the fundamental question: "What is a media outlet?", then took part in a workshop to help them recognize the reliability of information, led by Talar Talajian.

Friday 21 March

Year 4 will have the opportunity to take part in a question and answer game with Jeremy Talbot.

Monday 24 March and Thursday 27 March

Year 5 and 6 will take part in a workshop entitled "Questioning the hierarchy of information", and then attend a press conference, learning how to gather and transmit information effectively.

This week will be more than just a series of workshops; it will be a profound and enriching journey that will enable pupils to strengthen their critical thinking skills and broaden their understanding of the world.
