Last Friday, our Year 3 students and new pupils from Year 4 onwards eagerly gathered for CFBL’s annual Sorting Ceremony. This much-anticipated event marked the beginning of their journey into one of our four Houses: Chlorofox, Faeroceler, Bellynxhorse, and Lamperfly.
Students took part in an interactive online quiz, designed to assess their unique personalities and strengths. Once completed, they sat beneath the iconic Sorting Hat, which decided their House based on their answers. At times, the Hat hesitated, adding a thrilling moment of suspense for the audience. Who would join Chlorofox, known for ibeing perceptive and tenacious ? Or perhaps Faeroceler, celebrated for audacity and determination? Each decision was met with eager cheers from the crowd.
Upon being sorted, each new House member received a badge, a sticker, and a cozy House scarf to wear with pride. The students then joined their fellow Housemates, who welcomed them warmly with open arms and enthusiastic applause.
The sense of camaraderie was palpable as new students pledged to give their all for their Houses. Throughout the year, they will have opportunities to earn points for their House through hard work, teamwork, and good behavior. Keep an eye on the website for updates on the latest House standings!
A reminder for our primary students: we’ll be hosting House-specific movie nights soon! Mark your calendars:
Bellynxhorse: 28 November
Lamperfly: 6 December
Chlorofox: 17 January
Faeroceler: 6 February
We can’t wait to see how our new House members rise to the challenge. Welcome to the CFBL House family!
