This October, students at our school were invited to tap into their darkest imaginations in the Scary Story Writing Competition, organized by our very own English teacher, Ms. Watts. The challenge was simple: craft a spine-chilling tale that would send shivers down the reader's spine. With Halloween just around the corner, the timing couldn't have been more perfect for a little creative fright.
The competition was open to all students, and the entries did not disappoint! From haunted houses to eerie encounters with the supernatural, the stories varied in style and substance, but all were sure to leave readers on edge.
After much anticipation, the results are finally in! There were two winners from Year 7 and one from Year 8, as well as some notable mentions, each having their story recognized for its originality, creativity, and ability to captivate an audience.
