CFBL recently lit up with the buzz of STEAM Week, an exciting celebration of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics that engaged students of all year groups in a range of enriching activities.
For our younger learners in Year 1, Chrome Music Lab provided a fun introduction to the world of sound and music, sparking their curiosity and creativity.
The STEAM Fair was a hive of activity for students from Years 1 to 6, offering hands-on experiences like making slime and experimenting with conductivity using everyday items like bananas and Pikachu toys. Students also showcased their coding skills with projects like the Time Machine and Pixel Pro designs.
The Dyson Challenge brought out the engineer in everyone with inventive projects like Balloon Kebabs and Dancing Raisins.
Year 6 students took charge at the Science Fair, presenting experiments like tornadoes in bottles and the classic Mentos and Coke reaction to parents and peers.
Meanwhile, students from Years 7 to 10 engaged in a stimulating maths competition, putting their problem-solving skills to the test in a friendly yet competitive environment.
Wrapping up the week was a delicious nod to mathematics with a baking contest for Pi Day, where students got creative with their pie designs and culinary skills.
As STEAM Week came to a close, the school reverberated with the excitement of discovery and learning. From the wonders of science to the beauty of mathematics, students embraced the opportunity to explore and create while having fun!
