A few days ago, the CM1 students at CFBL took part in the 5 Days Without Screens Challenge, an initiative organized in partnership with the CM1 teachers and our nurse, Mrs. Malard. The goal of this challenge was to encourage students to disconnect from recreational screens (television, video games, tablets, smartphones...) for 5 days. This initiative aimed to raise awareness about the dangers of excessive screen time and promote the benefits of digital detox.
The benefits of reducing screen time are numerous: better health, better sleep, more happiness, and better academic performance. This challenge offered a great opportunity for the CM1 students and their families to adopt healthier lifestyle habits, such as more physical activity, reading, and family time.
The students had to fill in their logbook daily and take good care of it. Those who spent the least amount of time on screens during this period earned points for their House!
As parents, your support was crucial: you valued your child's initiative and encouraged them throughout the challenge. Some of you even took on the challenge as a family. Thanks to this experience, everyone was able to develop a healthier and more mindful approach to screen use!
