CM2B Students Explore the Cooperative Game Feelings and Empathy

The CM2 students recently took part in a fun and enriching workshop centered around the cooperative game Feelings. The goal of the workshop was to develop empathy and understanding of emotions, which are essential for their well-being and social relationships.

Revisiting Emotions
The activity began with a review of different emotions to ensure that everyone could understand and recognize human feelings. Then, the students explored the game Feelings, which encourages expressing one’s feelings and reflecting collectively. This game allows participants to put themselves in others’ shoes, express their own emotions, and develop their ability to understand those of others.

How the Game Works
The game is played in several rounds. In each round, a "Situation" card is read aloud. Each player secretly chooses an emotion in response to the situation from the six available emotions on the board. Players then try to guess the emotion chosen by another participant. In turn, each player attempts to guess the emotions of others until all are revealed. The more the students succeed in guessing each other’s emotions, the further they advance on the empathy track.

A Moment of Listening and Empathy
This game allowed the students to develop their listening skills and empathy in a playful way. They were highly engaged, respecting everyone’s turn to speak and taking the time to reflect before making their choices. The game not only stimulated their thinking about emotions but also strengthened their group cohesion.

The students particularly enjoyed this workshop and had fun while learning to better understand others. Congratulations to them for their active participation and listening skills!
