As part of our study of cities around the world in geography, the Year 7 IB students have embarked on an exciting project: building a megacity of the future. After designing and planning their ideas, they are constructing a model of this futuristic city, considering the challenges that cities may face in the coming years.
This project is both creative and thoughtful, involving the use of recycled materials to build the model. The goal is twofold: to make students reflect on the urban challenges of the future, such as resource management, urbanization, and potential solutions, while also adopting a responsible approach to the environment.
This project allows students to think about global issues in a hands-on way while applying the knowledge they've gained in geography, all while contributing to reducing resource waste. A great way to combine reflection, creativity, and sustainable development!
