Year 7 students practiced yoga during the Primary Sports Day. The session was built around the notion of Trust during D-DAY with partner yoga activities which relied on trusting their partners for balance.
They also explored the notion of breath as a tool to regulate our stress reactions and practised some breathing techniques to regulate and trust their breath to help in stressful situations.
The session ended with a body-mapping relaxation to connect with their bodies and trust them to support us. Some students found it hard to wake up! Relaxation goal achieved!
